I came across this via Delvin Donnelly‘s twitter stream and absolutely loved it. The video show illustrator Bob Staake creating an illustration in Photoshop. What’s so amazing about that? Well,

1. Most of the illustration is created using the marquee tools and filling them with colour

2. He’s using Photoshop 3, which for some people would be the equivalent of writing with a quill pen and ink

3. He makes it look easy, which of course is a testament to his skill as an illustrator.

I even like the music

The event is basically a showcase of what’s new in Creative Suite 4 and should be of interest to all kinds of designers, artists and creative folk. I’ve attended the last few that took place here in Dublin and they have been excellent, with quite a bit of oooohing and aaaaahhing at some of the new features (particularly any time saving features) so I’m looking forward to attending this one too.
