Illustration & Design Portfolio
My illustration work is colourful and retro-tinted, combining hand drawn and scanned paper elements with digital artwork. Most of the work is created in Photoshop and Illustrator, I strive for a textured look and feel in the images. The style is appealing to children but also suitable for projects aimed at adults. For a slightly different style I like to work with photomanipulation and to combine photography and illustration.
My design work includes logo design, posters, flyers and corporate brochures. Thanks for taking time to check out my portfolio and don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss any illustration or design projects you may have. Click on the thumbnails below to see a larger image.
Revolution
I was a finalist in the Revolution at Fire Illustration competition. As part of the prize, I had a piece of work exhibited in the Copperhouse Gallery in Dublin (the third image below).
Pirates!
I’ve always liked pirates, they always seemed so exotic. In recent times I’ve discovered I really love illustrating them. These guys are available to buy as fine art posters on Society 6. More characters to follow!
The Circus
These illustrations are part of an alphabet book based around the circus. Some day it may be the basis of a mobile app…
Animal ABC
Heavily influenced by books from my own childhood and my love of mid-century illustration, this is a book of simple animal alphabets. Full of bright colours and lots of old paper textures, I hope that someday this too may become an app.
Illustrated Poetry
Illustrated poems for kids and grown-ups.
