Hello again! It’s been a while since I put finger to keyboard here on the blog. Since I last wrote…
I’ve been working on a set of illustrations for a children’s ABC book. It’s consists simply of 26 zoo animals on brightly coloured backgrounds with lots of texture. It’s aimed at parents/grandparents who might be reading to their chiselers.
I’m still deciding what to do with this book, but as an experiment I’m thinking of trying one (or more) of the following:
Option A is something I can definitely do myself, options B and C would require some collaboration – if anyone out there is interested or would like to provide some guidance …
Anyhoo here’s a couple of the animals
The idea of publishing electronically came from talking to Sarah (thanks!) last weekend at the Drogheda Photowalk and it got me thinking about some of the work I have sitting around idle (which included some of these ABC illustrations).
I also wanted to say thanks to Tara on the Graphic Design blog who has helped me with some leads and links for my last children’s picture book – Little Bee Lost which I’m still hoping to get published the “old fashioned” way. If there are any publishers reading …
Some more children’s illustration. This time little red riding hood power walking in the woods and a few poses.
