I’m delighted and very excited to have been approached by Kovet to work with them on a lovely project to illustrate a series of iPhone protective cases. The Kovet cases are designed and made in Ireland and are extremely high quality (and I’m not just saying that because I’ve worked with them). I met up with Mark from Kovet last month and he showed me the cases and they really are gorgeous. Mark pointed out (and I agree) that when it comes to iPhone cases the choice was either a reasonably nice looking case which provided no protection, or a case with lots of protection which had been beaten severely with the ugly stick. Those weren’t his exact words, I’m paraphrasing.
The Kovet designed cases are soft but extremely tough and flexible. When you twist them the designs won’t crack. The illustrations are printed onto the case at very high resolution and the results are really beautiful.
Here’s the cases I’ve illustrated with a link to the Kovet site where you can buy them – they would make BRILLIANT Christmas presents!
For the opera lovers, there is the Madame Butterfly case.
For the dance lovers, there is the dramatic Tango dancers.

For the Irish sport and hurling lovers, there is Cu Chulainn in action.

And finally, for all the pirate fans out there, there is Cap’n Bluebeard.

Kovet approached six Irish Illustrators to provide illustrations for their new cases and I’m a big fan of each of these guys and gals.
