Shake In The City Book
I love this book design by Edel Flynn, winner of the Visual Communications category of the Digital Hub’s Exhibit competition. Edel is a Fourth Year BA Hons Visual Communications student at Athlone Institute of Technology and her project is called “Shake in the City”.
The aim of the book is to make the work of William Shakespeare more accessible to a contemporary urban audience. Illustration and photography are used to present a modern interpretation of Shakespeare’s work. The story has been re-set his work in Dublin City to help readers identify more strongly with the setting and themes covered in the plays.
You can read more about Edel’s work and the winners in the other categories on the Digital Hub site.
