Scott Kelby Photowalk: Dublin
I took part in the 2nd (now annual, I presume) Scott Kelby Photowalk in Dublin at the weekend. Had a nice day, despite the awful weather. In typical Irish style it absolutely belted down, just like last year. Thanks to the lovely John Williams for being the leader for the day and making sure everyone was ok. Check out his gorgeous photography site and his blog.
My Dad came in for the walk too. He’s been taking photographs as an amateur since long before I was born (21 years ago *cough*) and it was he who got me started with photography. I learned from him how to process black and white film photographs in my brother’s bedroom when I was a teenager. We were moving at a fairly slow pace and eventually lost the group, but I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with (or even being in the vicinity of) some cool people I’ve been getting to know through twitter, including Redmum, Elliot, Shane, Julie and Ryan. There was fifty photographers on the day, which was huge.
So here’s a couple of my pictures from the day below, and the rest of my set are up on pix.ie.

It was lovely to meet you on Saturday. There are so many lovely shots taken that day, despite the weather conditions.
.-= Shane Murphy´s last blog ..Rose =-.
You would not have done much better in Wales over the weakened weather wise.
On the upside you have some lovely photos!
Thanks Trevor. Are you into photography yourself?
I lived in dublin for 7 years, don’t seem to remember the bridge in photo, its near the IFC, right?
Yep, it’s the brand new bridge across the Liffey. It’s not finished yet though.
