Writing For The Sitepoint Design Blog
I’m very happy to announce that I am now writing a daily post for the Sitepoint Design blog. The posts will cover many aspects of web design including fonts, layout, design resources, as well as short photoshop and illustrator tips and tutorials. This blog here isn’t going to change, if anything I hope I’ll be a bit more focused and become a better writer.
In the meantime, here are two recent posts – would really love feedback and comments on them if you have time and find them useful.
5 Slick Alternatives To Google Image Search
How To Create Your Own Twitter Background
I’m looking for a plugin to set up a sideblog where I can show the links to the latest Sitepoint posts. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Congratulations on your new gig! I read the images post, and it was perfectly coherent, with useful screenshots. I was less impressed with viewzi, though. I want images, not a front page of a website… but that’s my problem, eh? *laugh*
Thanks for linking the posts here–my reader is stuffed to bursting!

Hi Jen,
Great news. I hope it works out brilliantly for you.
Not sure about a sideblog plugin, but I reckon Michael of Pro Blog Design will have covered that before:

Hi Raena! Thanks a million.
Ha ha, cheers Dave!
Thanks Heather for the kind words and the feedback, much appreciated. Yeah, my reader and email are starting to get unmanageable with RSS stuff too. Need to start filtering a bit more carefully. I’m too much of an info addict.
Thanks Dave, I’ll have a look at that problog site and see what I can find.
Congratulations! That’s awesome! It’s great for you; but it’s even better for the design community! Now you’ll get to share all of your expertise with a wider audience.
I liked the sitepoint artices another good image searching site I like is http://www.compfight.com it searches flickr and you can set up filters for CCC licensing. It’s pretty powerful.
You’ll still be posting here, yes?

Thanks Devlin! I’m blushing now.
Yes I’ll still be posting here, have to get my act together and write some more Photoshop and Lightroom stuff.
After reading the Twitter Background article I made some Photoshop and Illustrator Twitter background templates using your article as a base. The templates are pretty basic, but hopefully people will find them useful. I hope you don’t mind.
