Photoshop Action of the Week
There are a several ways to adjust an image in Photoshop so that is looks very old and it’s good fun working on those kind of pictures. However, if you’re in a bit of a rush, this Vintage action by Roy at Vindauga Gallery is great. It works on colour photographs by using several layer masks, clouds and fibers and produces a nice aged result. Unfortunately it only works for Photoshop CS2 at the moment.
Here’s an example below. The top picture is one I took last week at Heuston Station here in Dublin (Notice the fabulous Summer sky. Will it ever stop raining in this country?). The picture underneath is the one with the Vintage action applied.

The action works particularly well with pictures of objects that look a bit old or dilapidated to begin with and you will find that you get different results with different pictures, but I think it’s a wonderful action to have in your collection.
You can download the action here.
